Plated.
User Experience • Personal Project
Experiential marketing has become a vital form of marketing for today’s brands looking to create deep connections with their audience. From brand dinners to immersive pop-ups, these moments bring a brand’s world to life—and customers respond. Studies show that 98% of attendees are more likely to purchase after attending an experiential event, and 80% of consumers remember what they do vs what they hear and see.
PROBLEM
Finding collaborators—like chefs, food stylists, or event designers is often a time-consuming task for independent brands with a small team. It usually means endless emailing, scrolling through Instagram, and a lot of hopeful thinking.
There’s no dedicated platform where brands can find and hire the talent to bring their visions to life.
SOLUTION
A mobile-first platform designed for busy brand owners who want to plan memorable brand experiences without the headache.
Whether you’re a founder planning your first dinner or a food stylist looking to work on exciting projects, Plated. brings everyone together in one space.
User flows
This flow shows a typical journey for users. Searching for talent and booking a team without any barriers. For users with no preparation, the Ai chat is available for brainstorming
wireframes
Initial wireframes, mapping key pages within the flow. During this stage, I focused on creating a clear and minimal flow, prioritizing fast discovery of talent, seamless event planning, and easy team communication. The goal is to be able to go through all the steps of planning as efficiently as possible.
Wrap UP
Plated. was an opportunity to explore how design can empower creative communities and streamline stressful tasks such as event planning. This project taught me how to balance functionality with visual aesthetics for a creative audience. I also had to keep it approachable and intuitive so all types of users can use the app without any issues.
user Persona
Design
I focused on a clean, editorial visual language similar to design trends used by my target audience. The design prioritizes fast navigation, easy discovery experiences, and intuitive event management tools. Every design choice is aimed at reducing the constant back and forth, keeping everything you may need in one place.
When searching for collaborators to work with, users can browse and refine their search with filters and categories.
Talent bios appear when clicked and display useful information such as background, specialty, contact information, and past work experience. Once users find talent they are looking for, they can easily request to book them for their event
The dashboard offers users quick access to core actions such as browsing talent, managing events, and chatting with collaborators. Adding an Ai chat feature helps users in planning and brainstorming. You can ask questions and get personalized guidance, streamlining the event planning process.
Each user has access to their profile, where they can manage upcoming events and stay connected with their selected talent. Every event includes organized folders for briefs, notes, and inspiration images. By allowing users to keep everything in one place, Plated. becomes an essential app for users planning events.
Prototype
The dashboard becomes the first place users land on. From there they can access talent, Ai chat and the menu option.
